Are profession pop rock scores(full band) done with the individual tracks of
the original songs(from the studio) or do the people who create the scores
get use the same tracks that individuals can buy?
I ask this because some scores seem very accurate, some seem impossible as
they give lines and notes that are very difficult to hear, and some are just
plain wrong. If one is trying to orchestrate the song according to the
"record" and has such a score how safe is it to assume it is 99.99% correct
when it seems so? Sometimes I can't hear certain notes well in a part
because there are too many overlapping instruments and what I'm playing
doesn't quite seem right. I want to be authentic and play the correct notes
in the correct order with the correct voicing but if the score isn't 99.99%
accurate then maybe I'll still be playing the wrong thing if I use the
score.
